About Carana Beach Resort

 

Carana Beach Hotel, situated on a breathtaking bay on Mahé, blends seamlessly with its wild, natural surroundings. Each of its 50 villas offers stunning views of turquoise waters and lush tropical gardens, set against a backdrop of granite. Since 2016, the resort has been enhancing guest experiences with Nevron IPTV technology, ensuring connectivity across its extensive property.

 

 

The challenge

 

Initially, Carana Beach Resort managed its IPTV needs with individual IPTV Headend servers for all villas, utilizing external multicast channels. By 2016, the need for more sophisticated functionalities prompted the resort to seek enhancements that wouldn’t require a complete system overhaul. This led them to further collaborate with Nevron, aiming to upgrade their system without extensive hardware changes. Advance Technical Services, a leading digital security provider in Seychelles, supported the upgrade by installing an optical network and a CCTV system, creating a robust infrastructure for Nevron’s IPTV solution.

In 2018, Nevron upgraded Carana Beach Resort’s IPTV solution with just one server, maintaining the older servers as a backup to ensure continuity. The partnership extended in October 2023 with a software upgrade and integration with Opera PMS, personalizing TV interfaces across the resort. Additionally, the Digital Signage solution was implemented to enhance guest information and engagement.

 

 

 

The outcome

 

Following the yearly upgrades, the resort’s marketing team leveraged the enhanced IPTV solution to update and refresh content actively, significantly improving guest engagement. Nevron’s continuous support and training enabled rapid content deployment, greatly enriching the guest experience. The solution now effectively supports both operational needs and in-room entertainment preferences, enhancing overall guest satisfaction.
